Are cats smarter than dogs?

Do you prefer dogs or cats?
Some people prefer dogs and others prefer cats. I've always loved both! So, I found a way to make my cats distinctly more doggie-like! I now can take any cat I train out with me wherever I go--to the bank, chores, events, or shopping (excluding food stores of course.) He or she wears a cute little outfit or sweater if it's cold, and sits in the kids' seat of the shopping cart. Here's Kit Casanova a couple of months ago, out buying supplies for a house we were fixing up to sell. He loves it when people come up to him, and pet him or even pick him up and hold him.
On this particular outing, I met a very special lady whose sister was in the hospital with a serious illness. She was very happy to hold Kit, and I took a picture of the two of them. I gave her the picture and an autographed copy of Potty Talk by Toast. She took both to the hospital and read the book to her sister who laughed uncontrollably at the cartoons and the humor of Toast's unique wit.
I see this lady every time I go to this store, and even though her sister is no longer part of this world, her last days were made happier by Kit and Toast. I believe it is Kit's mission in life to make people happy and to encourage them to train their cats to be able to do what he does.
Toast often visited elderly patients in nursing homes, where he had an intuitive knowledge of who needed a soft little cat to curl up in a lap and purr gently. This year, our plan is to start Care Cats, Inc., a nonprofit organization consisting of cats and owners who visit shut-ins, bringing joy and comfort
to those who need it.
